These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to all quotes, bookings and work carried out by Becks Bathrooms and Tiling (“we”, “us”, “our”), a licensed and insured bathroom renovation and tiling business based in Woodcroft, South Australia, and to your use of our website, becksbathrooms.com.au. By requesting a quote, engaging us to carry out work, or using this website, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Quotes & pricing
Any prices shown on this website are indicative only. A firm quote is provided in writing following an on-site assessment and is based on the scope, materials and site conditions known at that time. Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices are in Australian dollars and, where applicable, include GST. If site conditions differ from those assessed — for example, hidden water damage, structural issues, or non-compliant existing work uncovered once we begin — we will discuss any resulting change to the price or timeframe with you before proceeding.
Deposits & payment
A deposit may be required to confirm your booking and to cover the ordering of materials. The deposit amount and payment schedule for the balance are set out in your written quote or contract. Progress payments may apply on larger renovations. Final payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods noted on your quote or invoice. Materials remain our property until paid for in full.
Variations & changes to scope
If you ask us to change or add to the agreed scope of work, or if additional work becomes necessary once the job is under way, we will confirm the additional cost and any change to the timeframe with you. Variations are only binding once agreed, and we recommend they be confirmed in writing (including by email or message) to avoid misunderstandings.
Scheduling & site access
Start dates and timeframes are estimates made in good faith and may be affected by weather, material lead times, subcontractor availability, and unforeseen site conditions. You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, along with access to power and water, for the duration of the job. Please let us know of any pets, hazards or site restrictions before work begins.
Workmanship & your consumer guarantees
We take pride in the quality of our work and carry out all bathroom renovation, tiling and waterproofing in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and building requirements. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to have work re-performed if a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Any workmanship warranty we offer is in addition to these rights. Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, movement or settlement of the building, or work later altered by others.
Cancellations & rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible. Where we have already ordered custom materials or committed labour and resources to your job, we may retain or charge a reasonable amount to cover costs actually incurred. Your rights to cancel and to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this clause.
Enquiries & use of the website
When you contact us or submit an enquiry through this website, the personal information you provide is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This website is provided for general information about our services. While we take care to keep it accurate, content may change without notice and should not be relied on as the sole basis for any decision. You agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable or impair it.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, images, project photographs, logos and design — is the property of Becks Bathrooms and Tiling or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or use it without our written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim relating to our work or this website is limited to, at our option, re-supplying the relevant services or paying the cost of having them re-supplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and any dispute relating to them is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
